Podařilo se zjednodušit dříve popsaný postup na zprovoznění IPv6. Pokud máte přímé připojení na naše AP (kabelem nebo přes Wi-Fi kartu v počítači) a Windows Vista, Linux nebo Mac OS X, mělo by vám IPv6 fungovat automaticky bez potřeby cokoli konfigurovat. Ve Windows XP je potřeba napřed IPv6 zapnout příkazem "netsh interface ipv6 install". IPv6 vám funguje správně, pokud se vám zobrazí stránka http://ipv6.google.com.
